Our First Public Listing

On 22 November 2004, 3 years after Tune Air took over, airasia was listed on Bursa Malaysia – the biggest Initial Public Offering of the year. Our stock hit a high of RM1.45 before closing at RM1.40, reaching the higher end of analysts’ expectations, up 12% from the 1.25 ringgit paid by institutional investors and 20% above the 1.1625 ringgit paid by retail investors. “We are quite happy with what we have got”, says Tony.
