Manual Boarding Pass

These were the first boarding passes that were manually filled up before boarding. There were no seat numbers printed as it was free seating back then. Fun fact: Each colour represented a different destination so our guest services team could easily identify the right guests for the right boarding gate!

Snack Attack Menu 5

Before there was Santan, our inflight menu was named “Snack Attack”. This was one of our most extensive and varied inflight menu from that time, featuring Asean dishes such as seafood congee, curry laksa, chicken congee, tom yum noodles, and soto ayam noodles! Prawn sambal sandwiches, anyone?

Snack Attack Menu 3

Some of the favourites from Santan has been part of the AirAsia journey from the get-go. Back in the day, our selection of hot food included Pak Nasser’s Nasi Lemak and Asian Fried Rice, sold on the Boeing 737-300s!

Snack Attack Menu 2

‘Word has it that one of the best Nasi Lemak to be had is on airasia’s morning flights’ – (New Straits Times). This edition of Snack Attack also marks the debut of our iconic Pak Nasser’s Nasi Lemak!

AirAsia’s First Font and Taglines
